River Deveron Ladies Day
The ladies spent the morning being introduced to fishing on the famous Mountblairy beat, topics included learning to cast, understanding rods and how to set them up, ironically this stretch of water is overlooked by a mausoleum where Clementine Morison is buried.
After a superb lunch supplied by the River Deveron & Isla Trust (check the photographs ladies) rods were set up and the afternoon was spent casting a line on Lower Shaws, fishing the very pool where Mrs Morison caught the UK’s largest fly caught salmon back in 1924 at 61lb.
The day was covered by STV – see their film here
What an introduction to fly fishing –
Feedback from Caroline Walker ‘I would like to say a big thank you to yourself, Paul and Jock for a great day on the Deveron last Saturday’
