Mums bring along their children to a KIF day

We don’t hold regular junior events as we feel specialist junior clubs in the North East are better equipped to cater for juniors. But we do hold events called the KIF (keeping it fun) programme aimed at females who wish to bring their junior relatives along to experience fly fishing in a safe and friendly environment. are working with Ladies Fishing resident coach Cliff Johnston who runs the junior section at Bishop Auckland Angling Club, helping him with the  ‘Club Mark ‘ certificate. In order to attain the Club Mark Certificate you need to have a junior group within your club and hold a minimum of 6 junior events per year.

We will continue updating this section with a list of junior clubs across the region. Currently, we only recommend the following junior clubs which have or are working towards the ‘Club Mark Certificate’ : Hirst Park Trout Ticklers based in Northumberland. Bishop Auckland Angling Junior Club based in Bishop Auckland.  Aldin Grange Junior Club based in Durham. These are clubs holding a minimum of 6 dedicated junior events and have a dedicated junior website. If you run a junior club and would like to be added please say “Hello”

If you would like to join us on one of our events please say “Hello” or follow the KIF programmes latest updates on twitter
