Gosh this is a blast from the past. Back in 2013 encouraging more women to go fishing - with a stand at a fishing show in the Midlands. I met a lot of ladies who wanted to try fishing.

Women also had the chance to tie their first fly and what better way than on a brooch. The ones I tied were sold to raise money for charity .

Many refuges are not in a position to accept pets so in many cases people experiencing domestic abuse are unable to leave their home until they know there is somewhere safe for their dog. Dogs Trust offers a solution by providing free and confidential foster care, enabling the owner to access a refuge without the fear of what may happen to their dog if left behind. 🐾🐾🐾 .

This year its the 15th anniversary of the Freedom Project, the service now operates in 29 counties across England and the whole of Scotland and has helped more than 1,400 dogs. It was trains and history last night, 1825 to be precise. Celebrating the anniversary of the world's first public railway to use steam, Stockton & Darlington Railway. They used the Locomotion No1 built by pioneering railway engineer George Stephenson, the “Father of Railways”

Guests and local dignitaries gathered for the 194th anniversary organised by the friends of the Stockton & Darlington Railway.

.One special highlight being the announcement that a mysterious parcel put together in 1925 will be opened at the anniversary celebrations in 2025.

Officially opened on 27 September 1825. The movement of coal to ships rapidly became a lucrative business, and the line was soon extended to a new port and town at Middlesbrough. The first railway town.
