Tweed Salmon Fishing & Health Spa October 2019
This year we are joining Kate Innes at the award winning Tontine Hotel for a rather lovely few days away in the Scottish Borders. This event is open to anglers and non anglers.
Tuesday 15th October we check into the Tontine Hotel, Peebles. Late afternoon its meet and greet where we will spend time chatting about equipment and casting theory. After that its off to the bar for a Gin Tasting session and then dinner in the bistro.
Wednesday 16th October, after breakfast we travel to Traquair Beat.
This beat is one of the most popular upper Tweed beats. Much of the water is ideal for first time anglers, but there is plenty to keep the experienced anglers happy too. There are two miles of interesting double bank fishing and another mile of single bank, making three miles in all. The day includes fishing for salmon, tuition and a packed lunch.
Non anglers can enjoy the day in Peebles which has a lot to offer from shopping to history. Or join the ladies and spend time visiting Traquair House, Scotland’s oldest inhabited house. Traquair has witnessed extraordinary events in Scotland’s history and 27 monarchs have passed through its doors during its 900 year history.
After the days fishing or sightseeing we will join Kate and her team for a Cocktail master class and then dinner in the restaurant.
Thursday 17th October, we check out of the Tontine and spend the morning at the award winning Stobo Castle Spa, crowned the UK’s Best Destination Spa at the Good Spa Guide Awards. You will spend the morning at the spa from 9.30am until 1.30pm. This includes lunch and no treatments.
