Chatton Ladies, another busy day

Saturday was going to be a busy day for coaches Paul and Anne. Four beginners introduced to fishing, casting and fly dressing with Anne. Individual lessons from our AAPGAI Master Paul during the morning. The rest of the group fished Chatton’s three lakes for a fin perfect rainbow trout.

Lunch a first only 30 minutes. We did have a packed day !

After a typical Chatton Lunch, bacon sandwiches and cakes provided by Ali, the group gathered in front of the club house for the team photograph, a signature of Ladies Fishing. Then Anne and the beginners went fishing and the rest of the ladies had their last hour on the water. Roseanne, Annie, Rose and her mum watched Paul tie two flies with dog hair Rose had gathered from her dog.

Then at 2pm the ladies who are fishing Tweed next month, had a two hour session on fishing for salmon, equipment, watercraft, tied their first salmon flies and then spey casting lessons with a single handed rod.

The beginners had a great afternoon, Lisa caught her first fish, watched by her husband, who incidentally booked her on the course. It was lovely chatting to Lisa, we all know what it is like to sit in the car and get the courage to come inside. She was glad she joined us, as she had a great time.
