Family Fishing Fun Day in June

West House Trout lakes in conjunction with children’s fishing charity ‘Fishing with Tom’ are holding a family fishing day on Sunday 12th June at Bishopton County Durham from 10 am to encourage more families to take up fishing.

This event is hosted by members of the Game Angling Instructors Association GAIA. Ladies Fishing have been invited to coach and give ladies of all ages advice on what fly fishing has to offer from choosing suitable tackle, obtaining clothing designed for lady anglers and answering any other questions that female angles may have.

Across the fisheries three lakes coaching sessions for game and coarse fishing will be available from beginners to improvers. Talks during the day on fish welfare, tackle, techniques for fly and coarse fishing, including fly tying demonstrations for still waters and games, competitions.  Drinks are available throughout the day including a BBQ (not included in the price).
