Ladies Fishing and BBC Radio Newcastle

This morning Marta and myself braved the wintery conditions to be interviewed by Railton Howes for his fishing programme on BBC Radio Newcastle.

Railton was keen to know more about our final event of the year ‘Ladies go Christmas Fishing without at shop in sight’ at Chatton Trout Fishery on the 12th December. He thought the variety of events and in particular Marta’s talk on Portuguese cork from her fathers cork farm was fascinating. He also congratulated all the ladies on the fantastic fund-raising achievements during the last 12 months for breast cancer fishing charity, Casting for Recovery. Including now in its 2nd year, bring an unwrapped gift to our last event on the 12th December (Chatton Trout Fishery) to be sent to Newcastle Women’s Aid.

Both myself and Marta enjoyed the experience, being interviewed standing in the snow with Railton and fellow BBC presenter Don Coe to give the show authenticity. Marta finished off the interview with Good Bye in Portuguese…Adeus

Thanks must also go to George Macintyre Journal who has included the Chatton event in his newspaper column in the Journal and online.
