Brood Stock Collection 11th November
Ladies, you will be aware due to excessive river heights this afternoon’s event has been cancelled. Aiden Pollard has just confirmed another date for next week, Thursday 11th November again at Featherstone Castle at 1pm.
Agenda on 11th November. Meet at 1pm where we will meet the Environment Agency team who will be electro fishing for salmon. Two weeks later we will meet the team at Kielder hatchery where we will see the eggs being stripped and the history of salmon explained. Including a guided tour of the hatchery arranged for Ladies Fishing.
Aiden has confirmed we will be invited to see the parr (next stage after eggs) being placed back into the Tyne. This gives us all the opportunity to see the complete cycle. If you would like to attend please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Huge thanks to Aiden Pollard who has made this possible for Ladies Fishing.
