Congratulations are in order for ladies fishing member Vicky Bell, one of the main organisers of the invite only event Fishing with the Stars at Sweethope Loughs yesterday, raising money for Grace House Children’s Hospice. The event was well attended with celebrities from the TV, world of fishing and rod manufacturer/co-sponsor Hardy Greys.

Ladies Fishing in the North East held their 1st still water fund-raising event for Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland at Chatton Trout Fishery, Northumberland on Saturday. 15 ladies from beginners to advanced gathered to raise money and also improve their fishing with a selection of workshops available during the evening event.

Paul’s comments about ladies fishing, yes we take our fishing seriously. Remember the events when its been cold and very wet, eg august last year salmon fishing on the Tweed, did it stop raining. January Sarah stood in the Tay fishing for salmon, with ice/gru going past her in the water. Most of all we have a good time.
