Weekly Radio Show For Angling
Salmon along with game, coarse and sea fishing is covered on CVFM radio’s “Gone Fishing With Sam Harris” every Saturday morning from 8am to 10am. This live 2 hour show calls angling reporters based in the UK and Ireland who share fishing reports and latest industry news to listeners.
Saturday’s are a fishing day for me so Sam calls my mobile each week wondering where his roving reporter is – this week it was the Edinburgh Festival.
This year it’s the 70th Anniversary of the Fringe Festival and to celebrate this fabulous achievement children from schools in Scotland were invited to design the festival cover. I loved the winners energetic designs and in particular the winner of Primary 1 to 3 category which was the drawing of a young person with a fish on her head. It aptly sums up the fringe “impossible ideas bought to life” with its eclectic variety of shows.
If your visiting the fringe do check out Pat Cahill who is The Fisherman. He’s performing at heroes@monkeybarrel (venue 515), an appropriate venue, is he a hero for sharing his love of fishing to a festival audience or a brave man! His show features the quiet reflection by the riverbank interrupted by a passerby insisting on chatting and spooking the fish. He also gets comic mileage out of Enrique Inglesias, Pat is a ‘hero’ who is sharing his love of fishing.
He’s reeled in a 4 star review – check him out at 2.50pm at heroes@monkeybarrel until August 27th and tickets are priced at £5 – Read More.
