Yorkshire Ladies Day NOW FULL

IMG_0991Brian and Sue Tower’s and Anne Woodcock are co-hosting 2 ladies days in Yorkshire this
September.

Both days are for ladies interested in fishing for salmon or trout, from complete beginners to experienced female anglers. AAPGAI casting instructor Brian Towers, qualified in both single and double handed rods is the only qualified casting instructor on the river.

Bolton Hall beat in Wensleydale has 1.25 miles of double bank fishing with fishing hut and wc. There is good access by foot along the river to the different pools, fishing is very accessible without a 4wd vehicle. The Ure is a typical dales river and Bolton Hall Beat has many pools and glides, some reasonably deep, which can hold fish in low water. Like most rivers, the beat has a mix of easy wading on some pools, to some a little more challenging, but there is plenty of water to suit everyone.

Dates 22nd & 23rd September 2017

Both days will include:

Breakfast at Berry’s Farm Shop

Casting demonstration and tuition by Brian Towers

Fishing permit for salmon and trout (excludes Environment Agency licence)

Buffett lunch by the river bank plus a glass of fizz..

Fishing until dusk

Price per day £120 per person. Only 6 places available

For more information and to book a place please contact Sue Towers on 07939 525066 or Anne Woodcock at FishPal on 01573 470612

Accommodation can be arranged if required please speak with Sue Towers.

Hope you are well and still running. Brian sent me an email about these days and I said I would go so I’m not sure if I’m on their numbers or yours. Anyway I would love to fish there again. Sue said there was a possibility of staying in a yurt which I quite fancy as long as it has a loo and is vermin proof. So I’ll get in touch with her about that as I think the yurts are attached to the farm shop. If not there is a lovely B and B just along the road where I stayed last time. Went down to the Wear to fish the other night as sea trout are much in evidence. Lost my bottle at 10pm and came home fishless!

    • Hi Anne,

Sue mentioned last week that you are attending both days. The yurts are within the Farm shop’s grounds nicely tucked away and have a hot tub as well !!!! Very happy to have a session with you on the river 10pm onwards – that’s the time to fish it x
