Two mixed teams from the North East on Saturday entered the Wynchwood mixed pairs event at Grafham Reservoir. With the help of Ladies Fishing coaches, in particular competition angler Paul Little who tied flies etc to international competition standards. 

Summer is the perfect time to fish for Carp as unlike Trout fishing the warmer the weather the better they love it. You can catch them fairly easily on the fly and its very, very exciting stuff and really gets the adrenalin rushing. Just imaging a lovely Common or Mirror Carp slowly

2 places are now available (due to cancellations) for the North West Ladies Fly Fishing Club event on 31 July 2011 at Bank House Fishery, Caton. This is a beautiful fishery with lots of fishing platforms, and bays and even if windy there is plenty of shelter.  The lake is very well stocked with rainbow, brown and blue trout and includes many large fish.  It is also stocked daily.

Date for your diaries We have been invited to the Northumbria Salmon & Trout Association dinner by branch chairman Mr Chris Richardson. The event this year will be held on the 18th November at The Britannia Newcastle Airport hotel, Ponteland, Newcastle. Funds
