Ladies go Christmas Fishing without a shop in sight. 12th December

To celebrate Ladies Fishing 2010 season our last event will be on the 12th December with a guaranteed Christmas feel.

Let the festivities begin:

9.30 Meet and greet at Chatton Tout Fishery

Coffee break 11-11.30  enjoy an interesting presentation from Marta the daughter of a Portuguese Cork farmer on cork and Dawn will demonstrate how to make a cork rod handle.

Lunch 12.30. During Lunch 2010 review and launch of 2011 events

Coffee break 3-3.30 Talk and demonstration from Anne standing in for Fupi about skins and how to make a picture frame from salmon skins.

Dress a fly with local fishing personality Don Coe (prince charming), include your fly into our competition to win a bottle of fizz and a days fishing.

Beginners and improver lessons from Santa’s helpers from GAIA.

Check the plant life and entomology from our very own Santa Claus Cliff.

Finally finish the day with a glass of mulled wine and mince pies, including ladies fishing ‘who wants to be a fish millionaire’ and ‘Pin the tail on the dog fish’.

Carriages 4.30pm.

Last years event we collected unwrapped gifts for Newcastle’s Women’s Aid (offer help, advice, support for women and children experiencing domestic violence). We will be collecting again this year. Thank you to everyone who donated a christmas gift.
