Ladies during November we have been invited to watch the Environment Agency carry out their electro-fishing schedule to determine the number, age and condition of fish in the river Tyne. As part of this they also retain some fish to be transferred to the Kielder Hatchery. Where we are invited to view the hen and cock stripping!
Valerie landed a 18lb salmon after a good strong battle on the Newtyle beat, River Tay, Scotland. Valerie was assisted by Newtyle Ghillie David Steele. The beautiful 18lb salmon was released back into the water to carry on its journey

Words can’t describe my trip, what I have learned, the experiences I had. There is so much to tell, and not a dull moment during the whole 2 weeks. The fish were incredible, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.
