National Fishing Month Ladies Events
Three ladies events during the National Fishing Month 17th July till 15th August: Carp on the Fly and Introduction to River Fishing. No need to worry about buying a rod license for the event. During the National Fishing month events requiring a license, the rod license is free
Saturday 31st July Ladies Introduction to Coarse Fishing and Carp on the Fly.
GAIA Instructor Cliff Johnston who is also a coarse fishing competition angler will talk techniques, equipment, bait and fly choice. Every lady will have the opportunity to fish both methods for carp, perch, tench etc
Venue Get Hooked Centre, Bishop Auckland. Time 10am till 4pm. Cost £5.00,Lunch is available at the centre

Saturday 7th August ladies introduction to river fishing for wild brown trout. This event is suitable for beginners to experienced female anglers.
Ladies Fishing Casting Instructors will discuss equipment, river skills, fly choice and types of suitable casts. You will also have the opportunity to fish the evening rise. Equipment is available free of charge, all ladies will be provided with life vests. What to wear, as above, but bring your wellies, if you have waders please bring them along.
Venue The River Wear. Time 2pm till 8pm Cost £5.00. No need to worry about a rod license during the National Fishing month events requiring a license are free

Lilly at Higham Lakes Junior Club is organising a junior and ladies day, on Sunday 15th August at Higham Lakes. Cost £10.00 Ladies, Juniors £5.00 including lunch.
This event is shaping up to becoming a well supported event, with ladies and juniors across the region supporting Lilly’s first event.
This event is for beginners to advanced anglers. 3 Female and 7 male coaches providing tuition on the following Casting, fishing skills, water craft, entomology, fly dressing, distance casting. Every junior attending will receive a goodie bag.
