We at Crocodile Bay Lodge, Costa Rica want to encourage and support the
Women Anglers of the world.We would like to hear from you your comments
on how we can make a difference exposing more females to a sport that until recent years has been predominatly a male sport. My 6 year old niece absolutely loves to fish
and I would like for her to have some friends to continue fishing with long after I am gone! Whenever I get to see her,she politely reminds me how she caught more and bigger fish! What a Beautiful Day it was.

I had a fantastic day yesterday at the Glasgow Angling Centre event. Anne was kept busy all day with people keen to support Casting for Recovery with loads of juniors (and me) tying brooches to support this fantastic charity

Here at Fishing North East our Aim is to get people active and enjoy our wonderful coastline,we have no limitations old, young or disabled there is fishing available for all, what we encourage is conservation through our coaching,a digital camera is a far better way to show a good days fishing than a bin full of unwanted fish,likewise the Rock Pool and Beach Clean sessions have been a great success in educating the diversity,habitat and conservation of the tidal zone,it also pleasing to see a good number of girls getting involved in what once a male dominated sport.

Very well written Christine. I think that magazine will not be around for long because it is clearly out of touch with what is happening in the angling community. I am seeing a similar “out of touch” scenario here in the US with a “traditional” fishing magazine. Ironically, it has nothing to do with sex. The magazine is not doing well because the readership has moved onto the Internet and the magazine has not. It’s simple Darwinism. Evolve or die.
