Joan Russell from The England Lady Fly Fishers has sent a invitation to all ladies to a friendly competition at Grafham Reservoir on 30th July It is mixed pairs fishing from a boat from 10am till 5pm followed by a meal and prize giving in the evening at the Wheatsheaf in West Perry
The competition consists of a mixed pair of anglers sharing a boat and working together to catch 16 fish in total. Please stop fishing as soon as you have 16 fish to the boat and keep a note of the time as there will be a time bonus of 2lb per hour (8oz per ¼ hour). There is no catch & release. Please keep your catch separate as there are individual prizes as well.
A raffle prize will be held to raise much need funds to support the (winning) England Ladies Team who participated in the International at Bewl last month. Every contribution will be valued with grateful thanks.
We currently have 2 teams entering, any ladies interested in joining us for the event please say Hello to Anne. Transport has been arranged from the North East.
Cost: Entry Fee £5.00 Dinner £11.00. Total £16.00 (this excludes your boat fee and fishing which must be paid at the fishery)
